Abigail Alpern Fisch

Abigail Alpern Fisch is thrilled to join CHN as a New Media Fellow to support digital media communications efforts that reach and empower young and new activists. Abigail is passionate about policy advocacy and organizing on behalf of social justice issues and hopes to engage more people in civic engagement efforts and activism on behalf of social, racial, and economic justice. Abigail is furthering her knowledge and experience with issue advocacy work as an organizer with Blue Future, a youth organizing program on behalf of progressive issues. Abigail is also trained as a reflective, structured dialogue facilitator from the Massachusetts, nonprofit organization, Essential Partners. She continues to create and facilitate community discussions and dialogues for a variety of institutions. She serves as the Assistant Director for Community Dialogues with the Tufts Initiative in Civic Science. Abigail graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Justice Studies, and a minor in Sociology. Previously, Abigail was a Marketing and Communications Intern with the national arts advocacy organization, Americans for the Arts, based in Washington D.C. She was a field organizing intern with the Maine Democratic Party and the Sara Gideon campaign for U.S. Senate in 2020 before transitioning to work on the Georgia Senate run-off elections.
